Membership Requirements

New Member Criteria
Membership is categorically open to any legitimate business operating in the State of Hawaii for at least six months.

Category Exclusivity
Every effort is made to provide each member with classification exclusivity; only one member per business category is permitted. Each member and the firm she or he represents is considered to be a dependable source of supply, ready and willing to provide service equal to or exceeding that of a competitor. Please check our “filled categories list”. You do not qualify if your business type is on the current list.

Representative
Membership is held in the member’s firm. The firm is to be represented by an owner, a key executive or manager of the member firm.

Attendance
Member must be able to regularly attend the weekly meetings. Excessive absences will result in termination of membership. At the meetings we build personal rapport so ask for your chosen representative to be present regularly. One alternate can be selected to fill in during times of necessary absence.

Dues
Member must pay quarterly dues of $220 in a timely manner.

2. Attend a meeting as a Guest. This is by invitation only; please contact us if you are interested.
3. After you have completed steps 1 and 2, review the Application Process below.

Application Process for Membership
Please review member requirements at the top of this page before proceeding with the steps below.

1. Complete both pages of the application. Include the name of the member that is sponsoring you.
2. Make application fee check of $150.00 payable to Maui Executives Association.
3. Mail the completed application and fee to P.O. Box 2846, Wailuku, Hawaii 96793
4. There is a two week period for the membership to review the application. During that time the applicant may be asked for an interview.
5. At the end of two weeks the MEA Board of Directors will vote whether to approve the applicant.
6. The applicant will be notified of the decision. If not approved, the application fee check will be returned.
